Porties, especially as puppies, are very high energy! You don't want it to grow into a dog that chases things, barks at random people, or is aggressive at other animals. The biggest training tip when it comes to Portie is simply keep them busy. Lots of exercise and intimate training sessions will keep them from aggravating habits like digging and chewing. Portuguese Water Dogs do best with interactive training games and activities. A bored Portie is a destructive Portie. Do your best to make puppy training sessions fun and it will be beneficial for both you and the Portie.
