The Miniature Pinscher, often coined Min Pin or King of Toys, is a proud, fearless and fun loving toy breed. This compact cutie is a descendent of the German Pinscher family. While it may have Italian Greyhound and Dachshund in it as well, the ancestral origins are widely debated. Min Pins are busy bodies that are fearless, energetic, and the most intense of toy breeds. These are proud and assertive little ones that 100% think they are a big dog. Alert and sometimes territorial, Min Pins take their watchdog role very seriously. They will try to act intimidating and may become yappy. In fact, their bark might put you through the wall if you don't train it properly. While they're usually quick learners, this little King can sometimes be stubborn. Miniature Pinschers are very athletic, agile and love to play games with their owner. If they aren't prancing in your footsteps, well, they'll likely be on your lap. While it isn't considered a lap dog, they don't fully understand what personal space means. It will demand cuddling, on its own terms, and won't move unless you make it. Standing 12 inches tall, Min Pins make a feisty little friend that can fit into any lifestyle.

This little pooch doesn't need much to fill it's tummy. The recommended daily amount is 1/2 - 1 cup of kibble divided into two meals daily. As always, the amount of food is dependent on activity level, age and metabolism. Miniature Pinschers do best on high-quality food that contain lean protein and healthy fats and carbs. Try to select products that have limited added preservatives and artificial flavourings. It’s important to measure meals and limit treats when training so your pup doesn't become overweight!
