French Bulldog Training

French Bulldog puppies have a bright, playful nature that makes training fun and rewarding. Frenchies are smart little ones who pick up habits quickly. Potty training your Frenchie should start the minute you bring it home. Although pee pads are a useful way to avoid mistakes, allowing your puppy to go inside may create bad patterns. It's best to take your French Bulldog outside often and let them explore until they go. After your puppy eats, drinks, or is sniffing around the carpet, they likely have to pee! Crate training is also an excellent method, as dogs love having a safe space to themselves. Don't let your Frenchie out if it cries, as this encourages them to get what they want by making noise. Basic obedience training like "sit", "here" and "down" should be easy for your Frenchie. As always, Frenchies do best with positive reinforcement and treats. When your puppy listens to your commands or does something you like, be sure to reward it with something delicious!

French Bulldog Puppy Ears

A French Bulldog’s identifiable characteristic is their bat-like ears. They should look alert, have round tips, and be set high on the head but not too close together. The inside leather of the ear is fine and soft. Healthy puppies will have clean ears with no signs of discharge, redness, inflammation or pungent odour. If the puppy is aggressively scratching or pawing their ear, tilting their head or excessively flipping their head, it may also be a sign of discomfort. Breeds with floppy ears are more prone to infection or disease.
