The Bull Terrier (a.k.a. the “eggheaded” dog), with their signature small eyes and long snout, are a mischievous breed, certain to keep you on your toes, and laughing along to their goofy, but charming antics. They have a particular love for chasing its tail that’s definitely amusing!
Bred in the early 1800s, the Bull Terrier is a mix between a bulldog and the now-extinct English Terrier (which is fairly obvious from how they look) and were bred as fighting dogs. Because of this, Bull Terriers are the best of both worlds in terms of temperament. They’re suited best to companions who will give them adequate exercise and lots of cuddles, or else you could face the dreaded Bull Terrier destruction and stubbornness—resulting in naughty behaviour like eating your shoes.
They are a tough dog with the stocky stature of a bulldog and the alertness of a terrier. Despite their sweet and devoted temperament with their families, the Bull Terrier may be best suited as the only family pet, as the breed can be prone to compulsive behaviours and hot-headedness when around other dogs and cats. But in the right loving family, there’s nothing quite like a Bully personality-wise. In terms of other breeds, Bull Terriers are one of the most unique, the ultimate tough-exterior, soft-interior companion!
