Boston Terrier Training

Taking your Boston puppy to training classes will benefit all parties—you, your pup and everyone else there! Early socialization is also a game-changer, so don’t be shy about bringing your Boston with you to different places. It’s time to show them what’s out there. This will help your pup develop into a well-behaved mature dog that’s cool with other people and animals. Bostons adore a good treat and do well with training incentive so don’t be shy with the bacon bits. Although Bostons are quite silly, they are also sensitive, so any progress in training should be followed by some positive reinforcement in the form of cuddles.

Boston Terrier Puppy Ears

Boston ears are small, and erect. They are either natural or cropped to fit to the shape of the head and rest as far to the corners of the skull as possible. Healthy puppies will have clean ears with no signs of discharge, redness, inflammation or pungent odour. If the puppy is aggressively scratching or pawing their ear, tilting their head or excessively flipping their head, it may also be a sign of discomfort. Breeds with floppy ears are more prone to infection or disease.
