American Staffordshire Terrier Training

American Staffordshire Terrier puppies are intelligent but they can be willful. It’s important to enroll them in puppy training classes as soon as possible and socialize them with other dogs and situations, too. AmStaffs can be aggressive even with the best training and socialization so leaving them alone with other dogs is not recommended. AmStaffs are pretty eager to please and do enjoy the process of being around you. Devote a good amount of time and energy (and strength! AmStaffs are strong!) to training your AmStaff and you will get in return a loyal companion.

Healthy puppies will have clean ears with no signs of discharge, redness, inflammation or pungent odour. If the puppy is aggressively scratching or pawing their ear, tilting their head or excessively flipping their head, it may also be a sign of discomfort. Breeds with floppy ears are more prone to infection or disease.
